Call transfer
There are two types of call transfer: Attendant transfer and Blind transfer.
Attendant transfer means, that first you connect to the subscriber, to whom you want to transfer the call, and only after that the call is transferred.
Blind transfer means, that the call is transferred to the direction number immediately and you do not know about its further status.
Attendant transfer
Using the interface
To make attendant transfer using the interface do the following steps:
- Click “Call transfer” on the active call bar,
- Specify the direction for the transfer (internal number of another user or queue, other directions are impossible),
- Press the "Enter" key on the computer keyboard. Your interlocutor will be putted on hold, and you will connect the direction number. In case the direction interlocutor will hang up the receiver the connection with your first interlocutor will be restored. If you hang up, you connect the first and second interlocutor.
Also you can transfer an incoming call without answering it. For this:
- When you receive a call, click "Call Transfer" ,
- Specify the direction for the transfer (internal number of another user or queue, other directions are impossible),
- Press the "Enter" key on the computer keyboard.
Using the feature keys
To make attendant transfer using the feature keys do the following steps:
- During the conversation dial the pattern *8. Your interlocutor will be putted on hold.
- Dial the direction number (internal number of another user or queue, other directions are impossible).
You will connect with the direction number. In case the direction interlocutor will hang up the receiver the connection with your first interlocutor will be restored. If you hang up, you connect the first and second interlocutor.
The pattern *8 is the default code. You can change it in the section Feature keys.
Using a physical or software telephone
You can also make attendant transfer using the "Transfer" button on the physical telephone or softphone.
Some phones require additional settings for this function.
Blind transfer
Using the function code
For blind transfer by dialing the functional code you have to:
- Dial the pattern *9 during the conversation. Your interlocutor will be putted on hold.
- Dial the direction number (internal number of another user or queue, other directions are impossible). The call will be transfered to the direction No.
The pattern *9 is the default code. You can change it in the section Feature keys.
